新鲜出炉hang(hang out)

很多老外都经常那么用，但是大部分学生听到都很惊讶。你知道吗？

当我使用这个俚语的时候，很多学生都感到困惑和不解。这个词就是：

⬆️ 点击音频收听RJ的本期的【一分钟英语】You all know it means “出去”, or to be outside with friends.  For example:你们都知道它有“出去”的意思，或者在外面和朋友玩的意思。

例如：You can usually catch Jaqueline hanging out with Zoey at the bar.你可以经常看到Jaqueline和Zoey在酒吧里玩Connie and Karl used to hang out, but now they hate each other.。

Connie和Karl以前常在一起玩，但是现在他们不理彼此了Michael and Michelle often hung out in the park before the mosquitos took it over.。

Michael和Michelle以前常在公园里玩，直到蚊子占领公园。

Did you notice the past tense of “hang” is “hung?”  Remember to use the right tense!你们注意到hang的过去式是hung

了吗？记得要使用正确的过去式哦！这些句子都是可以的，但是这个词组并不永远都是“和朋友在外面玩耍“的意思你也可以表达“自己在家里呆着”的意思所以，它也可以是：完全放松，或者在特定场所或者和特定人群打发时间。

To completely relax or to kill time in a certain location or with certain people.  ExamplesSo many native speakers might use it like this:

所以很多老外也许会这样用：Cartman(on the phone with Stan):  Yo dude, what you doing now?Cartman（在和Stan）打电话：YO朋友，你在干嘛？

Stan: Not much.  Kenny and I are just hanging out at my house cooking pizza.Stan：没啥Kenny和我在我家做披萨呢Wendy doesn’t like to hang out with people.  She likes to 。

hang out by herself instead.Wendy不喜欢和别人呆在一起相反的，她喜欢自己一个人呆着Oh, you’re looking for Kyle?  You can probably find him 。
