I didnt really know how I was going to play her.A lot changed when I got the scripts because Peters writing is just incredible, and you know this is a fictional world that hes created.

It clicked for me that "Oh Im playing a character.Its Diana on the page, its Peters Diana.This is my portrayal.", I suppose with that, it gave me some freedom to bring what I wanted to the part.

Yeah, I just said "Alright", I dont know, there is something about how she said "alright" that always got me into it.

She always did the thing where she went down at the end and everything she said, her intonations sort of like this.

"Ill be fine.Locked up in a palace, on my own.".I always imagine it as a straight line, and then falling off a cliff; its like a straight line...

down.There is actually an amazing documentary called In Her Own Words, and its on Netflix.Its actually the only documentary I watched for the role.

Its from these tapes that she recorded for a book that Andrew Morton wrote on her.But then the tapes I think were released after she died.

Its just her, talking about her life, and it is incredible.After Id watched that I was like "Theres nothing else I really need for getting her voice down.".

Then I worked with William Conica whos a brilliant dialect coach.You can hear someones voice and try and do an impression of it, but everything we do on The Crown is...

were not doing impressions, this isnt mimicry, so with William it was understanding why she talked the way she did, and learning how to sustain it in conversation, and how to really make it my own.

Im notoriously not a good dancer.I remember once one of my 6th form teachers saying that I dance like a spider, thats kind of haunted me ever since, but I really enjoyed dancing in the series.

I had a lot training which helped.In a lot of the longer dance scenes actually, it was kind of just unchoreographed.

I just spun around, and let go, and really enjoyed it.I love dancing if its not choreographed because then there are no rules, and you just do what you want, and I dont really care.

It was really fun to let go with her in that way, and its kind of where I found a lot of the essence of her, I think, in those scenes where she completely lets go, because it just showed that she carries so much inside of her that she has no way of expressing unless shes in a room on her own with music.

Quite a beautiful thing.Definitely! I always describe it as kind of like the zipping up of the character.

So you have all this research, and you have all this coaching with movement and voice, and its all floating around like this, and you are aware of it all.

Then when you are putting on your costume it kind of seals it all up, and suddenly you feel like it kind of brings it together.

Amy Roberts and Sid Roberts who do the costumes are just incredible, and we got on so well.A lot of the costumes are vintage stuff which is really cool.

It was interesting seeing what things they tried to replicate completely, and things they tried to do.

I feel like everything actually ended up being our version of it.I mean even the wedding dress isnt a replication, its our version of it.

Similarly, with a lot of the dresses, like some of the ones on the Australia tour, are very similar in color tone but actually, the pattern is different.

I really like that because, again, you can compare but there is a bit of contrast there.Thats interesting because they would again be specific to era.

There is the young Diana where shes in the yellow dungarees and sweater vests.For that period of her life, I think it was the sweater vest, itchy sweater vests, a bit like the one Im wearing now, and a shirt, and a long kind of skirt.

I felt frumpy, but in a childish way that was really useful.Then when she was in Australia and shes wearing these incredible dresses, I felt like I was in a kind of work uniform.

It was really interesting coming to the later episodes, when shes in New York, and you feel like "Oh, somethings changed.

This is her, this her voice, that shes chosen this, she knows what shes doing.I remember there is an outfit I wear in episode 9, when theyre bringing the body of Hugh Lindsay out of the plane, and Im waiting on the tarmac with Charles.

Its quite a sad scene, but Im wearing this black bomber jacket, it was vintage Yves Saint Laurent, it was one of the things I was so insistent I was going to steal, but didnt manage to.

I havent.I think Id probably say that its her portrayal.So she should not listen to anyone but her own intuition from the scripts and what she gets.

I would be worried, I guess, trying to bring what the person before brought to it.Ive heard a lot of people, like Helena and Olivia, say that.

I think that a part of it is absorbing all that the previous person has done, but a lot of it is doing your own thing and bringing your own thing to it.

I mean thats the great thing about The Crown changing cast every two seasons, it means that you see a different actors portrayal of this person.

Oh God, yeah! I cant promise Ill know them.Her sisters cleaning lady? A kindergarten teacher! The Emanuelles.

The train was… oh my God Ive no idea.21 something? 25 feet.I was going to say 21 feet but that seems ludicrously long, but it was, wasnt it! John Travolta.

而Emma之所以能如此大受好评，背后还有很多不为人知的故事神仙剧组1比1还原戴妃经典造型尽管《王冠》开播以来，一直被皇室和英国议会官员各种嫌弃和吐槽，但从用心程度来看，《王冠》剧组其实根本就是王室的铁粉，无数细微之处都在向皇室致敬。

剧中，Emma所穿的每一套衣服都像是从戴安娜的衣柜里刚借出来的，眼熟到让人热泪盈眶。先来上一组Emma一比一还原戴妃经典穿搭的对比图，不能说是很像只能说有点一模一样。

1985年戴安娜在皇家剧院芭蕾舞会惊鸿一舞的经典片段，剧组也拍的很还原本尊，除了戴妃的小肚子之外，其他细节都十分神似。这是戴安娜本人。

这是Emma Corrin。

而在最受瞩目的查尔斯王子和戴安娜的世纪婚礼戏份中，Emma也丝毫没有露怯，艳压全场她穿的那件婚纱，跟戴安娜王妃当年穿的那件一模一样，裙摆长达7.62米、用手工刺绣、亮片和10000颗珍珠“我记得应该是在伦敦的兰卡斯特宫里——有一个大约10人的团队帮我穿上婚纱，因为它太大了，当我走出去的时候，所有人都安静了。

”

为了保证婚纱的完美还原，《王冠》的服装设计师直接请来了原版设计师 Emanuel 夫妇做了件一模一样的天价婚纱，真正做到1:1复制了1981年的世纪婚纱。

原版只能说，当神仙颜值的小妹遇上一个烧钱不眨眼的土豪剧组，造出来的不是真王妃，也胜似真王妃了！从假小子到戴妃翻版，妹子的气质是个迷初出茅庐就碰上这样的顶尖制作，作为一个新人演员，Emma实在是个幸运的妹子。

随着最近《王冠》的热播，很多人开始好奇她到底是哪儿冒出来的天选萌妹？其实这一季的选角从2年前就开始了..2018年，刚从剑桥大学表演专业毕业的Emma接到了导演Ben Caron的一个电话，他们聊了好一会，随后导演要求她读了几句台词，她意识到这些台词和戴安娜有关。

一开始，她只当这不过是毕业季一个不请自来的试镜，然而很快她被告知，这并不是试镜，她被正式定下来出演黛安娜！她完全吓呆了这个消息一经放出，当时的影迷们都感到一头雾水她谁？导演是不是疯了？这一切也不难理解，因为Emma当时在英国国内知名度很低，就是那种比新人还新的那种小透明。

此外，她在时尚圈也流传着一些匪夷所思的照片，她似乎很喜欢跟着一些奇怪的摄影师拍些奇奇怪怪的照片有多么奇怪？比如像下面这些：她有时候像是王尔德笔下那种美少年.

有时候也可以是个朋克糙汉子....(就连胡渣都很像是刚长出来的原装的）

还有这种清爽类型的.....

总之，不知为何妹子专注于开发男里男气的时尚路线，很多人感觉，她的样子有点像朱迪福斯特，后者也是以雌雄难辩的气质而闻名世界。甚至有很多谣传，她就是朱迪的女儿......

所以乍一看，导演的选角思路可以说是相当的叛逆然而，其实Emma和Diana之间的缘分其实冥冥中早已注定因为不仅仅她长得像戴安娜，她妈妈长得更像！撞脸这事儿也会遗传据Emma的回忆，年轻时候她的妈妈，经常被路人误认为是戴安娜。

甚至，有那么一天，她妈妈刚刚走进火车站附近的一间咖啡馆，有好几个人无比激动——他们以为自己见到了戴安娜王妃本人更让人意想不到的是，也就是在这一幕发生的几个小时之后，电视上传来了戴安娜王妃在巴黎高速隧道里遭遇严重车祸，香消玉殒的噩耗......。

这或许是她们之间某种神秘的羁绊吧。几十年过去了，她也长大成人，并且继承了母亲的撞脸体质，看上去酷似戴安娜的3.0版本.......

为了演活戴安娜，她把自己变成复读机确定正式出演这个角色后，Emma就开始不眠不休研究戴安娜比如反反复复看一部2017年的戴妃纪录片，一遍又一遍模仿她说话的语气，最高纪录是把戴安娜的每句话都重复15次，这样笨蛋式地去练习。

而身为职业语言治疗师妈妈则在一旁随时纠正她的发音错误......“有很多地方我都希望能尽量效仿，比如戴安娜喜欢倾斜着身子说话，还有一些只属于她的谈话风格。“

为了练习戴安娜高贵的口音，Emma使用了诸如 get into 或者alright之类的词来模仿皇家的英语口音......面对排山倒海的压力，她有一套爱咋咋地豁出去了的调节方法”尽管我感觉到责任重大，但我告诫自己尽量不要想太多，否则会被击垮。

”除此之外，她买了很多活页笔记本，也制作了各种戴妃档案照片文件夹“戴安娜王妃的手指其实有特别多的细微表达，她的右手手指总是能让人一眼识破她的焦虑不安，当她焦虑时，两只手也会交叉在一起，而她情绪激动的时候，她又会把它们攥到一起。

”

美妆组为了真实还原戴安娜生前最著名的几款发型，为Emma制作了6个不同长度的订制假发，其中包括戴安娜少女时期的青涩妹妹头，也有结婚后明艳锐利的飘逸短发造型“弄这几个发型的时候，Emma几乎要被迫在椅子上端坐几个小时。

”

导演：让她火起来，也是揣摩角色的需要！除了脸蛋酷似戴安娜之外，Emma从小到大的某些成长经历，其实也有点像戴安娜的翻版“我真的能明白戴安娜当时的处境，19岁就结婚！成为了王室的一员，一年后就生下了威廉王子，随后她便开始了无尽的挣扎。

”今年24岁的Emma，出身于一个英国中产家庭，老爸是个商人，妈妈则是一个语言学者，从小也是个不愁吃喝的大小姐和戴安娜类似，她在中学时期也就读于英国一间顶级私立女高，Woldingham School，就是那种课外活动比课堂活动多出几倍，成天赛马、划赛艇、打高尔夫......致力于培养名媛的贵族式女校。

Woldingham School一年的学费就高达1.5万英镑，同学们也都跟伊顿公学似的，都是社会名流子弟学校的硬件设施尤其逆天，特别是拥有一个超大的学生剧院，里面总是有人在排演各种世界经典戏剧Emma也活跃在小剧团里，通过不断地尝试各种角色（比如《罗密欧与朱丽叶》啥的），从此爱上了演戏，下定决心成为一名演员。

或许是感觉自己人生阅历太浅，高中毕业之后她先是跑到南非做了一年难民志愿者（那个时候就开始剪了短发），然后才回到伦敦，进入剑桥大学正式开始学习戏剧本来她也是几十万毕业季迷茫少年的一员，一开始只能接到一些短片里的小角色，但不久之后，Netflix《王冠》剧组就相中了她。

这似曾相识的感觉，让人想到19岁的平民少女戴安娜，突然就成了王子的约会对象......而导演也有意在剧集开播前，就让这个萌妹赶紧“火起来”，因为这可以帮助Emma揣摩戴安娜的年少成名的内心境遇“你要知道，一旦主演《王冠》的消息公布，你也会马上受到全世界的瞩目，而这个从无人知晓的少女到世人皆知的魔幻过程，其实跟戴安娜是一样的。

”随之而来的王妃同款，就是狗仔队1980年，当戴安娜与查尔斯王子约会的消息传出后，狗仔队就开始跟踪这位未来王妃了，堵在她工作和生活的路上而年轻的Emma近两年来也逐渐开始体会到被狗仔围堵的苦恼，她从未想过，迅速成名的感受居然也包含了恐惧，她也把这样的感受运用到了表演中。

可以说，戏里戏外，Emma和戴安娜的人生，实现了某种程度的重叠并不想顶着“翻版戴安娜”头衔一辈子不过，现在她在《王冠》的使命已经告一段落，她并没有选择顶着“翻版戴安娜”的头衔止步不前在私下里，妹子的风格其实非常百变，充满各种滚烫的青春气息。

时而维密超模风，身材线条无懈可击。

时而是这种铁锅卫士，看起来脑子不太好使的样子。还有这种奇特的掰脚腕大赛冠军照......

或许在结束了轰轰烈烈的播出季限定“热搜女郎”之后，妹子内心深处还是很拎得清的“在本质上，模仿不是我们应该做的，我们只是相信眼前的故事是真实的”《王冠》同剧组的奥斯卡影后Olivia Colman是这样评价Emma的，“伟大的表演总是体现在细微之处，需要很多有趣的发挥，她真的做的很棒。

”

Olivia Colman令人遗憾的是，《王冠》第五季戴安娜王妃将会由30岁的Elizabeth Debick接手，而在下一季的第五集，1997年王妃不幸去世的一幕将会上演（因为剧中王室成员的年龄跨度很长，所以不管多大咖，都会在两季后换角，由年龄合适的演员接力）。

“不过我们还是在想办法能不能在一些闪回镜头里，让Emma以这样的方式继续陪伴大家。”
