It seems like that many people want to fit her into a neat box of what a billionaire’s wife might look and act like- good looking, elegant and poised and in a word, a trophy wife.

貌似很多人都想让她从外貌和行为上要配做亿万富翁的妻子-要漂亮、雍容华贵，简言之，要做个“花瓶老婆”The term “trophy wife” is often used in a derogatory sense to describe any married woman who’s young, attractive, who has expensive taste, and who’s married to a rich (and possibly older) man.。

“花瓶老婆”这个词汇，尝尝作为贬义词来形容嫁给了有钱男人(而且可能是年龄大的有钱男人) 的年轻、迷人、品味高贵的已婚女子。

However, Chan’s behavior hasn’t been encouraging for that faction. Instead of being a trophy wife, she is the kind of wife who wins the trophies for herself and her husband.

The Harvard and medical school grad is doing her own thing, and it does not include expensive consumptions. After Chan graduated from Harvard, she went on to teach 4th and 5th grade science at the Harker School in California, before enrolling in medical school. After medical school, she completed her pediatric residency at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. After that, she went on to practice as a pediatrician. She also co-founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, also known as CZI, with her husband.
