不要告诉别人class(classification)
Ways of CommunicationGenerally speaking, there are three basic ways for us to communicate with others—speaking, writing and body language.
Speaking is the most direct way of communication, and it is the way we use most frequently. Talking with people can make us learn some information about them. It is also a fast and direct way for us to get messages and news about what happens around us. We also talk with our friends and relatives, sharing the love we have for each other.
But sometimes, it is difficult for us to speak out our love because we are too shy. So we can use another way to express our affection for others—that is writing. We write letters to our friends to exchange ideas. We also write to our parents to show our love that we aren’t able to tell them face to face; and we also write to them telling them how we think about some affairs. Writing is indeed an effective way to show our true feeling.
And the unaware but important way of communication is body language. It can show some important information, too. Sometimes, we judge a person just by his/her body language.
In a word, speaking, writing and body language are all important for us to express ourselves. And we use them everyday and everywhere.
The Students in a ClassAccording to XIE Lihong, the fifteen students of her class fall into three groups.
Seven of them work hard and learn well. They always get good marks in examinations and are often praised by the teachers. XIE Lihong calls them “good students”. The monitor, the secretary of the Youth League Branch, and the captain of the class volleyball team, are quick in finding out what their fellow students are interested in or what they should do as a collective. They always organize proper activities at the proper time, so XIE Lihong calls them “good organizers”. Four other students are very kind to their classmates, always ready to lend them a helping hand. They help to clean the classroom and the corridor even when they are not on duty. XIE Lihong says that they are “good fellows”.
“What about yourself?” someone asks her, “I’m a group by myself—a good observer.”本文作者根据XIe的观点将班上同学分为四类:good students, good organizers, good fellows和good observer。
