在6月的英文征文活动中，三年级的征文主题“My favourite animal”共计收到86篇来稿，这也是3个征稿主题中投稿量最大的一个主题看来很多小朋友都是十足的动物迷啊！经过编辑部老师们的精心筛选，以下10篇作文将在微信上进行角逐。

1My favourite animalMy favourite animals are cats. Luckily, I have a pet cat. He has a fat body and a long tail. He looks just like a ball covered with golden fur. He has a very special name which is “Wait Wait”.

Sometimes Wait Wait is very naughty. He doesn’t like to be kept in the cage. He likes jumping everywhere. Sometimes he is very quiet. He likes sleeping at my feet while I am doing my homework. Sometimes, Wait Wait is also an angry cat. He scratched me once but I still love him very much.

Wait Wait also likes eating. He likes meat, chocolate, and even potato chips. I love Wait Wait because he is not only a cute little cat, but also a family member.

2My favourite animalThere are many animals in our world. Some people like dogs, some people like cats, and some people like rabbits…However, my favourite animals are monkeys. They are lovely. They are thin and small. They have big eyes, big ears and big mouths. They have long tails, too.

Every time I go to the zoo, I go to see the monkeys first. They are naughty. They can jump from one tree to another, and they can hang on trees with their tails.

In the circus, the monkeys can ride bicycles. How super! They are clever.I like monkeys best!

3My favourite animalMy favourite animal is giant pandas, the national treasure of our country. They are called the “living fossil”. They are black and white. They have big and black eyes, small ears, fluffy paws and fat bodies. They like eating bamboos. They like playing with each other. They also like sleeping.

I visited Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda with my parents last summer vacation. Some pandas were eating bamboos, some were playing, and some were climbing trees. They welcomed people from all over the world. I think we should protect the environment and the giant pandas will have a better living space.

I like giant pandas. They are not only cute and lovely, but also the envoy of peace and friendship of the world.

4My favourite animalMy favourite animal is a beautiful parrot. Her name is Isabella. She has a hooked mouth. It is sharp and powerful. Her nose is small and blue.

She has a lot of feathers. They are dark green, black and yellow. It seems that she is wearing a velvet jacket. It’s very charming. I like the yellow feathers on her forehead best because they are very soft and smooth. The different expressions on her face often make me happy.

I like my parrot because she not only has pretty feathers but also has a good personality. She can live in harmony with human beings. We always get along well with each other.

5My favourite animalMy favourite animals are rabbits.They have long ears, short tails and red eyes.Their red eyes are like rubies.

Rabbits like carrots.They are very cute and clever.So I like them.

6My favourite animalJurassic World is a famous film of the dinosaurs. I am interested in various dinosaurs. As you know, the velociraptor（伶盗龙） is also a kind of dinosaur. I like it best!

A velociraptor is about two meters high. It has 26-28 teeth in its mouth in total, so it can catch other animals easily. So brave! It also has feathers in its forearms and tail that can protect itself. Besides, the velociraptor is a good runner. Its brain can cope with the information quickly. It is so brilliant. I want to be clever too.

I like the velociraptor best. What animal do you like best?

7My favourite animalToday I want to tell you my favourite animal. It lives in the jungle. It likes eating meat but it doesn’t like grass. Can you guess it? You’re right. It’s a tiger.

First, it is a kind of catamount animal. It looks like a cat, but much bigger than a cat. Second, it runs faster than a lion, but slower than a leopard. Third, it has yellow and black stripes all over its body. I think it’s very cool. Fourth, it has a super tail which is long and strong. It can keep the tiger’s balance when it stands. It can also kill small animals with ease.

Although it’s dangerous for us to be close to tigers, we can watch them on TVs and in the zoo. Be careful!

8My favourite animalMy favourite animals are cats. They are lovely, warm, affectionate and mysterious.

When I was in kindergarten, I fed a stray cat in our apartment yard for some years. Since then I began to know more about cats and love them. However, my mum never agreed to raise a cat at home because she was afraid of animals.

Once I found an injured kitten. I took him home and put a bandage on his wound. He was so cute and warm. Surprisingly, Mum allowed me to keep him till he recovered. Several weeks later, I sent him back to his mother. But I have never seen them afterwards. I really miss them.

I read a lot about cats’ types and habitats. If you do like cats too, we can make friends to chat about our favourite cats.

9My favourite animalI’m an animal lover. Among all the animals, I love elephants best.Elephants are massive, but they are still lovely. When it is very hot, they usually find a muddy place and have a bath in it.

What’s more, elephants are very clever. They can lift stones with their long trunks. They also use their trunks to keep away wasps.

Elephants are my favorite animal and that never changes.

10My favourite animalHello, everyone. It’s really nice to meet you. I’m Alex’s favourite animal. Would you like to play a game with me? Guess who I am!

 I’m very strong. I wear a white coat made from soft feathers. My wings are quite big. I have a long and thin neck just like a model. My head is so small. I like eating grass and vegetable leaves. My mouth is long, flat and it is also my weapon. My feet are orange as well as my mouth. I walk like a toddler. But when strangers come close to me, I usually jump up and attack them at once. I’m the most faithful security guard!

What’s more, I love to be clean. I enjoy having a bath in the river before I go home every day. That’s all about me. Could you guess who I am? Right! I am a goose!!

My favourite animal上海市虹口区祥德路小学一（1）班高正妍指导老师：侯老师Dolphin is my favourite animal. It is a kind of mammal which lives in the ocean. Dolphins are good swimmers. They have strong tails that can push them forward fast. They breathe through holes in the top of their heads. To my surprise, dolphins can talk with the other family members.

I like dolphins because they are friendly to human beings. They can save the drowned people in the ocean.

The long neck can help it eat the leaves high up on the tree. Its fur is brown and white. I like it because of its beautiful eyes. 

Ants上海市金山世界外国语学校一（4）班 孙安妮I love ants. They have black antennae. Ants use them to tell each other about food and danger!

Ants live in a group, just like a big family! The queen ant lays eggs. The worker ants collect food. The soldier ants look after the colony.

Ants like eating fruit, seeds and dead bugs. Oh! They love sugar, too!Ants are very strong. If my dad was as strong as an ant, he would carry a car.

I love ants.
