一次性口罩，一次性付款、一次性塑料袋，你都会用英语表达吗？ Use/pay/happen only one time? 应该都听的懂 不过有点Low呢, 歪果仁都咋说呢？所以，今天就说“一次性”的英语表达。

Single-use先看看，一次性口罩怎么说：

single use masks的搜索结果通过新闻报导和搜索结果可以看到，一次性口罩可以称为：single-use (face) masks ， 能多次使用的叫是reusable masks 接下来是一次性塑料品：Single-use plastics。

如果不知道什么叫“One-use plastics” 请看下图：

one-use plastics类似的还有一次性拖鞋：Single-use slippers一次性毛巾：Single-use towel一次性手套: Single-use gloves一次性筷子：Single-use chopsticks

一次性餐具：Single-use tableware...............另外，还有的是可降解可处理的，这个时候把Single-use 换成 Disposable比如，Disposable food container

One-off另外，换个场景，我们在买房后收买的时候开发商会收一项费用叫“公共维修基金”（Public maintenance fund 还有一种叫法Condo sinking fund，不过特指condominium产权公寓），这个钱开发商会告诉我们是“一次性”的。

这个时候中英文的区别就显现了，我们再用sing-use就不太合适了 对于一次的payment, tax..... 更好的表达应该用： one-off看先先one-off什么意思呢： adjective1。

happening, made, done, etc. only once; not repeatedadjective2. singular, uniqueNoun something done, made, or happening only once, not as part of a regular sequence.

adjective 1表示不重复，只发生，做、干仅一次， 比如一次性的工作： one-off job, one-off payment上个例句：My boss gave me a one-off payment to compensate for the extra hours that I had to work.

做名词（Noun），举个栗子就是：the maintenance fund is a one-off. 公共维修基金是一次性支付的如果是adjective 2, 举个栗子： one-off design, 。

什么意思呢：A"one-off" design is custom, one-of-a-kind, not intended to ever be repeated.就是说这个设计是定制的，一类中的唯一一个，不再支重复。

如果这个design还要被复制，这个就不叫one-off deisng，而叫prototype 不过我们翻译成中文它不叫一次性设计，而叫定制设计 An item that is custom made but may be produced in additional numbers is called a "prototype".

Example最后，一定要注意的就是中英文的语言差别，中文的“一次性” 可以指代一切一次性，英文就要考虑一下了 如果还是不太确定，还有一个最好办的解决方法，找个VPN打开Google用图片搜索验证一下 。
