Project MUSE是什么机构？于1995年创立，其创办宗旨是作为非营利、高品质学术期刊集成项目，促进全球学术界的学科研究与知识发现，由约翰·霍普金斯大学出版社及校内的米尔顿·艾森豪威尔图书馆合作推出的高品质人文社科学术期刊集成项目。

目前收录200多家大学出版社和专业学协会主办的700多种学术期刊，共计50多万篇文章，汇聚人文社科领域最为深度的学术研究成果与前沿理论突破，全面助力各个学科研究方向上的学术研究与主题研讨MUSE是一个非盈利项目，其宗旨在于传播高质量的艺术、人文与社会科学领域学术知识。

其主要学科领域有：区域研究、哲学、政治与政策研究、历史、国际关系、科学、社会学、心理学、人类学、音乐、艺术、西方古典文化、经济、教育、戏剧与表演艺术、语言学、法律、文学、图书馆学与出版、医学与健康、数学等。

MUSE项目对期刊严格臻选，所收录的期刊必须是同行评审期刊，是由非赢利性或学协会出版社出版数据库提供全文文献、评论（书籍、表演、艺术、音乐等）、小说与诗歌、可缩放的图表与照片，大部分文献可同时提供HTML与PDF两种全文格式。

疫情期间限时免费包括康奈尔、乔治亚、哈佛、港中文、ACA,、Early Theatre等40多家出版社基本都开放了自己的电子资料库，大部分是到6月，连19年出版的书都可以下载In response to the challenges created by the global public health crisis of COVID-19, Project MUSE is pleased to support its participating publishers in making scholarly content temporarily available for free on our platform.
